On June 10th, 2020, at 18:00 om UZT American Councils for International Education Uzbekistan hosted a UniCEN webinar “Accreditation Structures in the United States”. The presenters discussed the types of accreditation within the United States and the processes through which institutions can become accredited. Participants learned about institutional and programmatic accreditation, self-studies, the peer-review process, and the importance of accreditation agencies.
About the experts: Erica Eckert, Ph.D., is an Assistant Dean of Assessment of Accreditation and Assistant Professor in the College of Education, Health, and Human Services at Kent State University.
Martha C. Merrill, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Higher Education Administration at Kent State University.
Mark Kretovics, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor of and Program Coordinator for the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at Kent State University.
