Michigan State University and Kazakh National Agrarian Research University invites universities faculty members to participate in the «Key Curriculums for Ecology and Environmental Sciences in Kazakhstan and Central Asia Academic Institutions» workshop.

The goal of this project is to share and revise the curriculums of major courses required for ecological and environmental sciences for several institutions of higher education in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The project is supported and funded by the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan through the American Councils for International Education’s U.S.-Kazakhstan University Partnerships Program.

Recently, the Central Asian countries have taken a course towards the development of agriculture and the environment. Various legislation and standards are being developed, SECs and farmers have been selected to be pilot farms for the production of agricultural products. You have a chance to use the favorable situation and opportunities of our workshop to develop knowledge in the field of ecological and environmental sciences in Ecology and Biogeography, Global Changes, Coupled Natural and Human Systems, Scientific Methods: From Hypothesis to Experimental Design and Data Analysis.

The workshop program opens on May 24th and will continue with an intensive course for 3 weeks till June 11th. At which participants can improve their knowledge in relevant topics on environmental conservation, the implementation of new strategies in the field of natural resource management, including many initiatives related to agriculture, pasture and water resources. Based on the results of the workshop, certificates of participation will be issued, as well as further cooperation in the field of science and education will be determined. Interested representatives will be able to receive methodological and organizational support for the preparation of joint research and the submission of international scientific projects.
